- Drive on-time testing services globally
- Manage technical and administrative aspects of scientific disciplines
- Lead development of Labcorp’s scientific capabilities
- Initiate and support business development activities
- Ensure quality performance of technical services
- Maintain client satisfaction
- Ensure regulatory compliance across global sites
- Meet established quality measures and respond to quality issues
- Serve as expert and global resource for scientific discipline
- Collaborate on strategic planning and capacity needs
- Develop and manage global department budgets
- Identify and champion capital improvements
- Manage new service offerings through the entire process
- Provide consultative support to Sales
- Participate in client visits, audits, and inquiries
- Offer technical consultations to internal and external clients
- Support Six Sigma and other process improvements
- Monitor and manage global production efficiency
- Develop and manage performance metrics
- Ensure sufficient resources for performance and quality
- Evaluate production and processes for adverse trends
- Collaborate with senior management to resolve issues
- Schedule and execute support activities efficiently
- Deliver new test validations on time
- Facilitate communication between department and global sites
- Communicate professionally with client contacts
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Prepare Associate Director for duties during absences
- Recruit, develop, and evaluate management personnel
- Ensure management resources for global operations
- Develop department volume forecasts
- Ensure trained and competent personnel are available
- Evaluate senior department management personnel
- Support marketing and sales efforts
- Communicate department capabilities through materials and meetings
- Ensure client satisfaction through relationship management and quality testing
