- Develop and promote advocacy positions on key issues
- Ensure global and regional consistency of advocacy positions
- Understand advocacy challenges with governments and organizations
- Identify and agree on global, regional, and national priorities
- Develop and manage global advocacy strategies
- Track advocacy strategy progress and identify interventions
- Develop advocacy positions and supporting content
- Disseminate advocacy positions and materials to campaign teams
- Support delivery of advocacy and lobbying campaigns
- Provide input to consultation responses and regulatory filings
- Develop and maintain evidence base for advocacy efforts
- Leverage IATA data and external sources for advocacy
- Maintain a network of contacts with international organizations and influencers
- Establish IATA as a credible voice in advocacy discussions
- Advocate for rational accessibility laws and regulations
- Focus on wheelchair handling and accessible lavatories
- Address passenger seating and accessible website design
- Promote harmonized adoption of digital identity and passenger data management
- Ensure government facilitation regulations do not impede travel
- Advocate for a competitive infrastructure and regulatory framework
- Focus on airport charges and ATM resilience
- Promote competitive ATC fees and cost-efficient ground handling
- Ensure cargo and customs regulations fit for purpose
- Address security screening and customs clearance requirements
- Work with ICAO and governments on safety and security priorities
- Oppose initiatives that do not advance safety and security priorities
- Focus on equipage mandates and radio frequency interference
- Address operational restrictions and security policy harmonization
- Promote effective policies for SAF production and deployment
- Facilitate robust CORSIA implementation
- Support Net Zero 2050 goals
