- Strong knowledge in developing large software projects using Java
- Strong knowledge in full-stack development with React, Angular, or TypeScript
- Strong knowledge with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Strong knowledge in Agile and DevOps practices
- Experience setting up AI-augmented software development practices and pipelines (plus)
- Backend development using Java
- Frontend development using React, Angular, or TypeScript
- Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Git
- CI/CD tools
- Spoken and written English
- Commitment to learn French
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in IT
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- University degree required
- PhD not eligible

- Implement backend applications using Java
- Build web applications with React and TypeScript
- Analyze and streamline existing software packages
- Reimplement software following new architecture
- Modernize the Engineering Data Management System (EDMS)
- Define AI-oriented software development pipelines
- Integrate data workflows and models
- Deploy AI-oriented software practices
- Conduct code reviews
- Test and deliver software
- Provide software support
