In this role, you will be the go-to expert for accounting transactions in Alternative Risk Transfer, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards while collaborating closely with underwriting and accounting teams to implement effective solutions.

Anforderungen

• •Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or qualified by experience
• •5 years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally P&C insurance or reinsurance
• •Understanding of standard accounting (GAAP & IFRS) for insurance and reinsurance
• •Knowledge of Reinsurance business/accounting, ideally in Alternative Risk Transfer
• •Knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS 9/17, and relevant regulatory standards like Solvency II
• •Finance and Insurance know-how, ideally P&C, with understanding of insurance group complexities
• •Understanding of insurance financial statements and products, their performance measurement and drivers
• •Experience in project and team work in an international and dynamic environment
• •Advanced Office skills like Excel, Access & Powerpoint and proficiency in systems like SAP, Business Warehouse
• •Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• •Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in communicating results to stakeholders
• •Advanced project management skills
• •Fluent English skills required; German skills are a plus
• •Experience in applying AI and ML to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial

Aufgaben

• •Serve as the global expert for accounting transactions in the Alternative Risk Transfer Line of Business
• •Assess and align accounting treatment for new transactions at the Underwriting stage
• •Ensure proper implementation of agreed accounting approaches in practice
• •Oversee the accurate reflection of ART transactions in financial closings
• •Resolve issues with Group Accounting in collaboration with the Head of Accounting Policy
• •Support Finance processes requiring ART expertise
• •Sign off on new transactions at the Underwriting stage and analyze their complexity
• •Monitor the implementation of accounting treatments for new and legacy ART transactions
• •Assist accountants with incident handling and error corrections as needed
• •Align IFRS 9/17 accounting treatment of new products with relevant departments
• •Define and review the F&A sign-off process for governance and risk
• •Coordinate the valuation process for investment-accounted transactions
• •Organize and manage the valuation process with involved valuation providers
• •Drive best practice sharing and efficiency improvements across the business
• •Participate in audits, closings, and projects to leverage ART expertise
• •Support movement analysis for closing and forecasting for planning
