- Deep working knowledge of German H&S regulations and practice (ArbSchG, BetrSichV, DGUV; OStrV; StrlSchG) and operationalization
- Strong risk assessment capability (Gefährdungsbeurteilungen) and control design/verification in high-hazard technical environments
- Experience with safety governance for complex technical hazards (e.g., Class 4 lasers, high voltage, cryogenics, vacuum/pressure) and coordination with statutory roles (LSB/LSO, Radiation Protection)
- Incident investigation and CAPA expertise, including effectiveness checks and cross-site learning
- Ability to build scalable systems (training/competency matrix, contractor safety/permit-to-work, audit/inspection readiness, KPI dashboards, governance cadences incl. ASA)
Aufgaben
- Manage Germany and US H&S management systems.
- Build and maintain H&S governance, documentation, and processes.
- Ensure alignment with German safety regulations.
- Track ASA cadence and actions.
- Ensure audit and inspection readiness.
- Coordinate occupational health programs with Betriebsarzt.
- Lead risk assessment for high-hazard operations.
- Implement Gefährdungsbeurteilungen.
- Implement safe operating procedures.
- Implement risk-based controls for technical areas.
- Manage contractor safety and permit-to-work.
- Drive technical safety governance.
- Oversee safety for Class 4 laser systems.
- Oversee safety for high-voltage systems.
- Oversee safety for cryogenic equipment.
- Oversee safety for vacuum/pressure equipment.
- Oversee safety for radiation environments.
- Coordinate with LSB/LSO and Radiation Protection Officer.
- Run office and workplace safety governance.
- Maintain emergency organization and drills.
- Manage visitor safety.
- Provide ergonomics and DSE guidance.
- Manage psychosocial risk assessment processes.
- Align shared-premises topics with Facilities/Security.
- Manage incident management and CAPA.
- Lead incident investigations.
- Conduct root-cause analysis.
- Implement corrective actions.
- Ensure timely closure and effectiveness checks.
- Share incident learnings cross-site.
- Build capability through training and communication.
- Deliver role-appropriate training to teams.
- Differentiate training for risk environments.
- Maintain training and competency matrix.
- Ensure coverage of appointed safety roles.
- Coordinate global safety alignment and reporting.
- Align safety principles with global counterparts.
- Maintain safety dashboards and visibility.
- Drive continuous improvement rhythm.
- Establish external-site governance.
- Define requirements for off-site employees.
- Oversee employees at partner/supplier/customer facilities.
- Ensure off-site induction and risk alignment.
- Develop off-site emergency procedures.
- Manage off-site contractor boundaries.
- Implement off-site risk reporting and escalation.
