Data Engineer - Data Foundation(m/w/x)

You will bridge the gap between raw data and refined products by building scalable pipelines and empowering other teams to create their own data solutions within a collaborative framework.

Anforderungen

• •Background in data, analytics, or software engineering
• •Fluency in Python, SQL, and Git
• •Understanding of production-grade data engineering concepts
• •Knowledge of dbt, sqlmesh, Airflow, or Dagster
• •Knowledge of semantic layers and CubeJS (plus)
• •Implementation of software changes in small increments
• •Experience with CI/CD and Github Actions
• •Willingness to investigate and fix failing services
• •Experience with observability and monitoring (nice to have)
• •Past experience with infrastructure projects
• •Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, or Athena
• •Familiarity with data modeling and architecture (nice to have)
• •Willingness to lead stakeholder meetings and workshops
• •Comfortable in small teams with close communication

Aufgaben

• •Improve custom data operation tooling for better developer experience
• •Bootstrap new data services with the data platform team
• •Implement infrastructure while ensuring data security and protection
• •Facilitate CI/CD, data quality testing, and observability
• •Ensure data modularity across the organization
• •Design and implement scalable pipelines using dbt and Python
• •Enable product teams to build their own data products
• •Provide onboarding sessions, consulting, and documentation for teams
• •Pair with colleagues on complex coding and process improvements
