- Design and build backend services and REST APIs
- Maintain clean interfaces and robust domain models
- Ensure maintainable data access patterns
- Deliver cloud-native microservices using Docker and Kubernetes
- Focus on scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated tests
- Implement quality gates and secure delivery practices
- Integrate and standardize API exposure via gateway patterns
- Apply usage policies, throttling, authentication, and authorization
- Version APIs using Azure API Management where applicable
- Establish observability standards with Azure Monitor and Application Insights
- Create dashboards, alerts, distributed tracing, and runbooks
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across microservices and clusters
- Perform root-cause analysis and preventative improvements
- Embed security and resilience practices
- Manage secrets and apply least privilege principles
- Implement container security best practices
- Develop disaster recovery patterns
- Engineer for regulated environments
- Implement traceable changes and reliable logging
- Handle sensitive data with minimization, access controls, and retention
